Sari Center Interdisciplinary Team
Our interdisciplinary comes together to offer patients a unique healing experience.

The Sari Center Interdisciplinary Team includes a Center and a Medical Director. Together, they provide our clinical and administrative direction. Our Oncology Counselor and Oncology Educator have decades of experience working with cancer patients. Our Program Coordinator evaluates patient needs and coordinates therapies provided by our licensed and certified practitioners.

 

Center Director
Corinne L. Danielson, MPH, CHES

Corinne Danielson serves as Center Director for the Sari Center with primary administrative and development responsibility. Ms. Danielson has her master of public health degree from Emory University in behavioral science and health education and completed her undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Portuguese and Latin American Studies. She has been a Certified Health Education Specialist since 1996.

Ms. Danielson has lived and worked throughout Latin America and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. She is a trainer of the Cross Cultural Health Care Program's Bridging the Gap: a basic training for medical interpreters' and has trained hundreds of health care workers to serve as professional medical interpreters.

She has been a leader in the non-profit community in South Florida since 2000 serving as the Executive Director of the Farmworker Coordinating Council, Program Director for the Language Access Program, and Center Manager for Florida Community Health Centers Indiantown. Through her multicultural experiences she has been exposed to health beliefs and healing practices from all over the world.

Oncology Counselor
Patty Liebman, LCSW, OSW-C


Patty Liebman has worked in the field of oncology counseling for eighteen years. She graduated from Barry University with a Masters Degree in Social Work and then proceeded to qualify for licensure. Patty recently received her OSW-C Certification, a new professional qualification to denote the amount of time and varied activities devoted to oncology counseling.

Ms. Liebman has written two grants to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and each was accepted. One was to fund a support program called Couples Creating a Supportive Response to Breast Cancer. This program offered newly diagnosed women with breast cancer and their spouses an eight week psycho-educational support program. The program was led by Patty and a licensed male therapist. The other grant funded the publishing of a workbook co-authored by Ms. Liebman and Ms. Debra Hansen. It was an interactive coloring and response book to encourage a child's understanding of their mother's diagnosis of breast cancer and an avenue to communicate their concerns and feelings.

Ms. Liebman was also involved in the inception of the Breast Cancer Survivor Newsletter. She has written many columns on topics pertinent to the breast cancer diagnosis and treatments.

Oncology Educator
Yvonne Stubbs, BSN, OCN, RN

Yvonne Stubbs is an Oncology Nurse Educator at the Palm Beach Cancer Institute Foundation in West Palm Beach, Florida. She currently works in the Cancer Education and Resource Center, located in the SariCenter where she provides individual education to patients and caregivers on their diagnosis and treatment. She also provides community outreach educational programs on early detection of cancer.

Ms. Stubbs completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Pittsburgh, in Pennsylvania. She has 19 years nursing experience, 11 years in oncology and 8 years in critical care. She has previously worked in the areas of chemotherapy infusion, and as the physician's nurse at the Palm Beach Cancer Institute.

Ms. Stubbs is certified in oncology nursing and is a national and local member of the Oncology Nursing Society.

Program Coordinator
Tricia Tran, LMFT


Tricia Tran is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, presently working for the Sari Center as Program Coordinator. Tricia assesses all newly referred patients and navigates their course of integrative treatment upon enrollment. Tricia attended the University of North Carolina and received a Bachelor's degree in general psychology. She then earned her Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University.

Ms.Tran began her career working with families in the mental health arena, and later held various social services and administrative positions in healthcare. Tricia has had the privilege of doing extensive work with terminal illness, long-term care populations and bereavement. Tricia spent 6 years prior to joining the Palm Beach Cancer Institute Foundation working in Alzheimer's community-based services. Tricia has been a long-time advocate for family caregivers, and specializes in acknowledging the patients' needs as well as those of the entire support network who are all affected by illness.

In addition, Tricia is in private family therapy practice specializing in supporting families challenged by any change, transition or loss. She also teaches healthcare and administration courses for the University of Phoenix Online. Saving the best for last, Tricia has a very supportive husband and 3 beautiful little girls.

Board-Staff Liason
Robin Malasky
, M.Ed, CCC-SLP

Robin Malasky was born and raised outside of Boston and has been living in Florida since she graduated from Skidmore College with a Social Work degree in 1989.

In order to pursue a career in Speech/Language Pathology, Ms. Malasky earned a Masters in Education with a concentration in Exceptional Student Education from Florida Atlantic University in 1997.

Robin has worked with both Adults and Children with Communication Disorders, but her passion lies in working with geriatric adults with speech/language and swallowing disorders.

Ms. Malasky stopped working in October 2004, when she was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer to focus on her health and family. Her cancer was discovered when she was 37 after a routine mammogram and with no family history. Since Robin's diagnosis, she has become passionate about helping others who are not as fortunate as she was and do not have the support she had while going through her illness.

Ms. Malasky has seved served on the Board of Temple Israel and has been a co-chair of School Teams for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. In 2007 Robin was honored as a local "Komen Warrior" by the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Robin is married to Steve Malasky and they have two children.

Sari Center Directions:
Travel East on Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. to Flagler Drive. Turn Left/North onto Flagler Drive. The second entrance on the Left is the entrance to the Victor Farris Building which is adjacent to Good Samaritan Hospital. Valet parking is available or you can follow signs to park in the garage. There is a bridge on the second floor of the garage that connects to the Victor Farris Building. Take the elevators to the 8th floor; we are located in suite 8900B.
