The Sari Center will host an unusual money-raiser on Sat., Oct. 1. It is teaming with Palm Beach Ice Works to present an event called Put Cancer on Ice.
Body weight seems to influence not only the risk of developing cancer, but also cancer survival. That's why a hypnotherapist and nutritionist are on staff at the Sari Asher Center to help breast cancer patients lose weight.
A study of 151 patients published last summer in The New England Journal of Medicine showed that getting early palliative care — in addition to regular medical treatment — helped people with lung cancer live three months longer, compared with those given standard care.
Cancer patients come to the Sari Center in West Palm Beach to help manage their symptoms, both physical and emotional.
